Dear Year One Families, 

We had a wonderful end too 2024 together and now we are looking ahead to starting 2025 with a smile. It is a very exciting term with lots of lovely things for us all to look forward to.  We have some lovely learning to get our teeth into, please see the curriculum newsletter for more details. We have some lovely stories, the laptops and dinosaurs amongst other things... 

 Just a few reminders for this term. 

 Mrs Sykes will be teaching in class on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Mrs Cawthorne will be in class teaching on Thursday and Friday. We have some fantastic teaching assistants, Mrs Smith (Monday and Wednesday), Mrs Redpath (Tuesday) and Mrs Pillinger (Thursday and Friday) and Mrs Hogg. The children will work with Mr Andrews and Miss Webb for their PE sessions. 

 PE is on Tuesday and Thursday. Children need to come to school in their PE uniform on Tuesday and Thursday. Full school uniform needs to be worn on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. 

 Children need to bring their water bottle and reading book into class each morning. Their water bottle is in the classroom and so always available if they need a drink. They will keep coats and lunch boxes in their locker for the day. 

 We will be sending home their reading book each day, it is important that your child gets the opportunity to read and reread the book throughout the week.
